Split hair Manic-Panic : évolution dans le temps

Last May I was changing my hair color again! After the winter "ice" gradient (there) I tried my very first split hair. (Tutorial here) So it was time for me to write my famous "changes over time" article to which you’re familiar with every time I change my hair color ;-)

First of all :

You must know that…

+ The color you get on your hair depends on the bleaching you have done beforehand. (Yellow to white)
+ The color reacts according to the nature of the hair itself
+ All semi-permanent hair color (brands) are not equal in terms of quality / pigments
+ Within the same brand, the colors can react differently on your hair (ex: fade more or less quickly)
+ The products you use for your hair can damage the color more or less quickly
+ Use cold water when you wash your hair

You’ll find lots of other tips for your hair colors or bleaching in the “Beauty” tab of the blog (“hair” section) and on my YouTube channel ;-)

This time I came back to my favorite vegan semi-permanent hair color brand: Manic Panic. I feel like home with their products. But as I like changing my hair and test new things, I chose two new colors: "Siren's Song" the beautiful turquoise and "Lie Locks" the mystic purple.
It’s once again my favorite colors, in the spectrum of green / blue / purple. I think I'll never get tired of it ^^ I must say that seeing the colof of "Siren's Song" on Manic-panic France website was like love at first sight!

Anyway ! So here is, in pictures, the changes of these two colors over two months, shampoos after shampoos. And for this new edition, I made a short video as a bonus because it was asked on my Youtube channel several months ago :D

My experience

Siren’s Song :

This turquoise is an atomic bomb! I already liked the color by seeing it on Manic-Panic France website and wasn't disappointed. The color on the first day is wonderful. Luminous, pigmented, faithful to the photos of the brand; I’m even more crazy about it after buying it. . As for its changes shampoos after shampoos, I'm definitely convince! It remains turquoise. The shade fades slowly but doesn’t turn into another color. It also doesn’t become invisible. It’s often my first "fear" with light colors that tend to wash faster – or just too fast – but this is not the case here as you can see.
I can tell you now that Siren's Song is now part of my top 5 Manic Panic! So if you haven’t yet try it, you should do ;D

Lie Locks :

I love the color at day one. This blue violet, between two horizons. But I suspected that such a shade would easily change and as you see in picture, my lengths become blue. (However my roots are still violet) It’s not a stable color. But it remains very pretty over the shampoos. I love the blue so it doesn’t bother me at all. Of course I’d have preferred to have my hair purple as day one but these shades are generally difficult to maintain over time. A purple can turn blue like here, pink or even gray.
And you can see it on the first day, Lie Locks is a very blue violet. So I don’t give it a bad appraisal. Maybe the color would last longer on someone else, it depends of the nature of the hair itself.

Conclusion

Still beautiful discoveries made at Manic Panic! "Siren's Song" is my favorite and I love it very much. I even find it difficult to imagine my hair without this color, I who love to change constantly ^^ Maybe in the future I would match it with other colors.

I also like this pastel look after 2 months. You were many to tell me that the colors were very beautiful on Instagram, and I agree. We could think that it was the day one shades and that's what I like with Manic-Panic. The colors don’t turn ugly even though sometimes they change radically from the first shampoo. I never feel in a hurry to redo my color and I even enjoy seeing it aging.
And after 4 months with a splithair I still like these two shades :-)

What do you think? Tempted by one of these two colors?
